Ubuntu Linux - Software and Hardware Components - "It Just Works" (Often, But Not Always!)

One of the Ubuntu Linux mottos (about Ubuntu Linux software and hardware) is: "it just works" - and this is often true, but not always!

Ubuntu Linux - Software - Making All The Linux Projects Work Together

By far and away, one of the greatest challenges of any Linux distribution is making all of the Linux software components - from all the different software projects - work together properly.

The people behind Ubuntu Linux work very hard to make Ubuntu a solid and stable Linux distribution. This is one of the main reasons why

Ubuntu Linux is so popular.

Ubuntu Linux - Hardware - Getting Linux Software To Work With Hardware

Another huge challenge for anyone using any version of Linux is getting the thousands of different computer hardware components in the world to work with any Linux distribution, including Ubuntu Linux.

One of the Ubuntu Linux mottos is - "it just works" - and it often does, but not always!

Ubuntu Linux Training Tips: Some computer hardware, such as modems, video display cards and printers have been written specifically for the Windows OS. And to get some hardware to work with Ubuntu Linux, you may need to either: do some additional steps to get this hardware to work - or replace your hardware with different hardware.

One of the easiest ways of getting Ubuntu Linux to work is to buy it pre-installed on a computer system - and this drastically reduces the hassles of getting Ubuntu to work with these hardware components (such as the pc, video card, sound card, keyboard and mouse).

But you still need to make sure Ubuntu works with your other hardware, like your printer and other devices you attach to your system.

It's also important to note that there are some extremely inexpensive computers that you can get with Ubuntu Linux preinstalled! You just go in the store, buy one, take it home, turn it on, and there's the Ubuntu desktop!
